| Where do you feel you can help students the most? | I believe that learning to ski and improving one's skiing abilities should be a fun and positive experience for the student (and the instructor!). Every student is different in their natural sports abilities, their fears and the aspect of their skiing that they want to improve. As a patient instructor who gets satisfaction from helping the student feel and enjoy the improvements they make on the ski slope, I feel that I provide an individual approach even when in a group environment. I believe it is possible to help the students safely discover their skiing potential while reinforcing the fundamental skills on which good skiing is based. | |
| What do you feel was your best ski teaching experience (optional)? | The best teaching experiences I have are watching my current and former students progress in their skiing ability. To see the improvement made by a person who has either never skied before or a skier who excels as a result of a experience that they get in one of my classes provides me with a sense of accomplishment. | |
| Anything Else You'd like in Your Profile? | I believe that improving one's skiing proficiency is a continual process. Sometimes a new concept or feeling 'clicks' and sometimes it doesn't. It is important to remember that we can learn from our failures as well as our successes. The key is to enjoy and get the most from the journey.. | |
