Avast, you Old Salts! We are temporarily on dry-dock waiting for warmer winds! But clear weather is in site for our June 28th launch. So, look for a full summer/fall schedule below.

Have you ever driven over the Bay Bridge and wished you were on one of those sailboats you saw below? You can be, with a Saturday or Sunday Chesapeake sail on a 30-40 foot boat. No experience required, but experienced SCWDC Skippers will be glad to share their knowledge if you’re interested. You can take the helm or help trim the sails or just sunbathe on the bow if that’s your preference. Sails depart at 9 a.m. from Annapolis and return around 5, when we continue the fun at dinner at a local restaurant(seperate cost). Bring your lunch, sun block, and be ready for a great day.

Additional Information
To reserve space, mail your payment to the individual leader (see chart below). Checks must be recieved by the trip leader at least 8 dys before the sail. Boats are cancelled a week before the sail if there are insufficient numbers. The trip leader will contact you with directions and additional information once s/he recieves your check. Checks should be made payable to SCWDC. Please include a phone number to reach you the morning of the sail, and your email address so the leader may send you directions and additional information.

Weather:
We sail rain or shine! Sails are cancelled only if there are small craft warning andthe skipper has discussed the conditions with the Bail Sail Coordinator.

Skippers Needed
If you are qualified to sail boats up to 40 feet in length and are interested in sharing your love of the Chesapeake Bay with SCWDC participants by skippering there a few Saturdays or Sundays each season, please call Pam Burdick in the evening to arrange a checkout.
