The Eastern Program

Due to the much higher costs of bus rental, two of three weekend trips are PYOT (Provide Your Own Transportation). For the one bus trip to Snowshoe, WVA, snacks and drinks are included en route, with lodging at the resort and lift tickets. We want to offer the most economical packages possible, assist all levels of skiers to improve their skiing, and most of all - HAVE FUN!

Cross Country
Cross country skiing is usually available on all Eastern trips, but it's not organized by the leader. In the local area, investigate this club for cross country

Ski Performance Enhancement
These trips are designed to keep you on top of your game. Our highly qualified ski and snowboard school is a National Member School of PSIA and can address all learning needs.

Reciprocity with Blue Ridge Ski Council member ski clubs. SCWDC is a member ski club of the Blue Ridge Ski Council (BRSC). BRSC member club members can sign-up for SCWDC ski trips at SCWDC member prices. SCWDC members can sign-up for ski trips with BRSC member ski club at that club’s member price rather than guest price. See BRSC trips at the Blue Ridge Ski Council web site. All of our weekend and one day (Ski School) trips are sanctioned by the BRSC.

LET’S GO SKIING!

SIGN-UP EARLY

All our trips have deadlines for sign-ups. Hotel and resorts need to know IN ADVANCE who and how many are coming. Airlines are even pickier about their reservations. If you’re looking at a flight trip it is imperative that you sign up early. We cannot hold stops on the airlines until the last minute. We must return reserved seats usually 60 days prior to the trip or the Club must absorb the extra expense.

WELCOME BEGINNERS, WELCOME EXPERTS, WELCOME INTERMEDIATES

The Eastern Trips program offers some of the best instruction anywhere. SCWDC has its own ski school staffed with PSIA (Professional Ski Instructors of America) and AASI (American Association of Snowboard Instructors) trained and certified instructors. There are several Ski Performance Enhancement (SPE) Weekend trips on which you can receive instruction at all levels for both skiing and riding.
