A Word from Eastern
Terry Masser, Chairman
It's always Time to Think Skiing!
The Eastern Program schedule is being finalized, and pricing for the trips will be posted soon. A return to Wisp, MD for a Family Program Ski Weekend is scheduled for the end of January. There are 6 one-day SPE trips to Ski Liberty and Ski Roundtop. We will also return to Canaan Valley, Timberline and Snowshoe for weekend SPE trips, and a long weekend to Camelback, PA is planned for February. The Eastern highlight trip this year is a week at Stowe Vermont.
Due to the much higher costs of bus rental, the majority of our trips are PYOT (Provide Your Own Transportation). For the bus trips, snacks and drinks are included en route, with lodging at the resort and lift tickets. We want to offer the most economical packages possible, assist all levels of skiers to improve their skiing, and most of all - HAVE FUN!
Cross Country Cross country skiing is usually available on all Eastern trips. If you want to get together with other SCWDC members and friends for impromptu cross-country skiing in the Washington DC metro area whenever the snow conditions allow, please check out and join SCWDC Cross Country.
Ski Performance Enhancement These trips are designed to keep you on top of your game. Our highly qualified ski and snowboard school is a National Member School of PSIA and can address all learning needs.
One Day Lift'n'Lunch Only
We also organize one-day PYOT trips with lift and lunch included, but no instruction.
Racing REC (Ski & Snowboard) RACING is back! . Dave Nard and Jeni Caron of International Ski & Snowboard Assoc., along with Princeton Sports and Ski Chalet, have picked up the program and are offering a full schedule for our participation. For more details go to their web site at issa-sports.org.
