About our Social Program

Join our social activities throughout the year (we NEVER stop!) for some fun and relaxation. We offer you warm camaraderie, not to mention the spirits you can enjoy while making new friendships at our happy hours. But be it hot, warm, cool or cold, the Social Program is ready to offer just the right activity to fit the climate and your needs; be they parties and dances, dinners, or movies.

Happy Hours: Every third Thursday of the month we get together at an area watering hole. Join us and meet new friends!

Parties: Large social gatherings celebrating seasonal events throughout the year, from wine-tastings, dances, galas, picnics, bridge club, bowling, or just plain partying!

Dinner Outings: These are usually smaller gatherings of members who either want to: cook and share (LeDIN); eat out (LeDO); eat and discuss a book/movie (Read & Feed) or enjoy a classic movie and book discussion.

Movie Outings: Watch and critique a Movie.

Bowling: Group bowling each Friday night will be scheduled for those interested.

Membership Meetings: are held on the first Tuesday of every month, October, December, and January through April. We hold big-time theme meetings on a Saturday night in September ("Skifest", our roll-out of the coming season's ski trips and advertising by ski resorts) and November ("Fashion Show" of ski, snowboard and tennis clothes, plus some vendor displays).

Volunteering
To accomplish all of the above we need volunteers!
We really appreciate the support we've received. However, If you are one of the remaining few who have not stepped up to volunteer, you are missing out! So, why not start it by volunteering to lead or help lead an event, or just give us some great ideas.

All of our great event leaders listed under our various activities and programs are all people like you – really busy – but they are having fun meeting other people. They also need help! (Setting up and organizing prior to an event or the clean up afterwards .... think of it as a “mini tail gate” party!) If a party is not your thing, consider leading a group to your favorite restaurant or in a book discussion.
