A Word from the Tennis Co-Chair

Outdoor Tennis events are played, weather permitting, at various locations during the week. These three events are offered:
- Tuesday evenings, year round, weather permitting, at Wakefield Park, near Braddock Road and the Beltway (This activity has resumed as of February 2013)
- Wednesday nights from June through mid-August at Hains Point, East Potomac Tennis Center in DC
- Sunday afternoons from April through October at Wakefield Park, Annandale, VA, near Braddock Road and the Beltway
For the events #1 & 3, advance notice using email is necessary to guarantee a playing spot, and the participant's cost is based on court reservations (fees paid to Fairfax County for court rental). You may still drop-in without giving advance notice, and playing depends on availability. For each event, the leader's contact information is stated in the individual articles below.
For event #2, you will pay the member or guest fee, and our coordinator will arrange matches for you and other participants.
