Chesapeake Bay Sails

Chesapeake Bay Sails
Have you ever driven over the Bay Bridge and wished you were on one of those sailboats you saw below? Tired of being "in knots"? Learn to tie them instead! You can, with a Saturday or Sunday Chesapeake sail on the 40 foot sloop Wharf Rat with Atlantic Sailing Experience (www.atlanticsailingexp.com). No experience required, but Captain Larry will gladly share his knowledge if you’re interested. You can take the helm or help trim the sails or just sunbathe on the bow if that’s your preference. You can also take pictures or peer through the binoculars to see the beautiful osprey diving with their sharp talons grabbing a fish to take back to the nest to quiet the peeping chicks.
Most sails are all-day departing at 9:30 AM from Pasadena, MD and returning around 4:30 PM, but half-day sails from 9:30 AM-1:30 PM, and 2 PM-6 PM may also be offered. Afterwards, the fun continues with dinner at a local restaurant(separate cost). Bring your lunch, sun block, and be ready for a great day.
