Iceland for Memorial Day Weekend
As of the evening of May 2, one single female has had to cancel for health reasons. So there is an opening for a single female. Please contact the leader, Lisa, if you are interested. She will entertain offers for this space.
Dates: May 26-31 (Thursday to Tuesday)
Cost: $1,362

Cancellation: Cancellation fee is $40.00, until March 3, 2011.

- Round Trip Air on Iceland Air nonstop to Reykjavik and return to Dulles
- Airport tax and security fees
- 4 nights double occupancy lodging at Fosshótel Baron Hotel in downtown Reykjavik

Explore Reykjavik and surrounding territory through various tours and activities which you and the leader will plan, although they are not included in the price. Some of the possibilities:
- Stroll around the city center, admire the colorful old houses and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere by Tjornin Lake
- Soak your stress away by taking a dip in one of the 800 natural thermal pools
- Climb up Hallgrímskirkja Church tower for a panoramic view of the city
- Try an exciting whale watching cruise
- Sign up for a ½ day horseback riding on well bred 5 gaited Icelandic horses
- Shop for some great Icelandic sweaters, quirky Icelandic designed art, or jewelry
- Take a day-tour to see some of the 10,000 waterfalls or 15 active volcanoes - Hike some of the 4,500 sq mi. of glaciers
- Indulge your interest in Iceland's fascinating cultural heritage or cutting edge art at one of the cities many museums and galleries
