National Christmas Tree Walk - Washington, DC
Date and Time: Weeknight - Friday, December 14th, 6 PM - 8 PM (evening hike)
Leader: Lori Cohen
Distance and Difficulty: 3 miles, Easy
Directions: Meet inside the Starbucks across from the Archives Metro station (325 7th St. NW) between 5:30 and 6:00 PM. Departure promptly at 6.
Information: We will walk about 1.5 miles to the National Christmas Tree, enjoying views of the National Mall along the way. Once there we will walk the "Pathway of Peace", enjoying the decorated trees representing each of the 50 states. There is usually a bonfire to warm us up and a group performance! For those who desire we will go for a casual dinner after.
Note: For safety purposes, dogs are not allowed on hikes.
