Eastern Ski Trips

Date & Time: Every Sunday afternoon through the fall, April through October, 4-6PM

The SCWDC is conducting Sunday afternoon tennis play at Wakefield Park. Wakefield has 11 tennis courts and 6 back-board stations. This is a self rated social doubles format open to all levels of players, starting with advanced beginners, able to serve and return serve.

During the late spring/summer months, we will reserve at least 1 court.  We will reserve 1 or 2 additional courts if we have advance notice that more than 4 players are planning to come. Try to let the leaders know you are coming by an email sent by Saturday 4PM.  You can still come without advance notice, but we can't be sure that we will have a spot for you.  NOTE:  IF THE TEMPERATURE IS ABOVE 90 DEGREES OR BELOW 40 DEGREES, THE COORDINATORS WILL NOT RESERVE COURTS - YOU'RE ON YOUR OWN.

Because this is open play, you should be willing to play with players of varying abilities. In other words, this is Social Tennis which can be competitive depending on the match-ups.  Inclement weather: Call the park at 703-321-7081 and ask about court conditions.

Nancy is looking for an assistant leader, as she can't attend every Sunday.   As this is written in April, there are seven months of activity ahead.   It is not complicated to be an assistant, Nancy will provide instruction.   You'll have fun and help others have fun!  Call Nancy to discuss.
