March 6 - 13, 2010 Sun Valley has garnered many gold medals from Ski Magazine readers for grooming, terrain, challenge, lifts, service, weather, dining, and off-hill activities. All this and beautiful scenery too. Located in the rugged Sawtooth Mountains, Sun Valley's gigantic Mt. Baldy offers 3,400 feet of steadily dropping vertical terrain. If its bumps you want, ski classics like Limelight and Exhibition. For cruising, we suggest Seattle Ridge. Sun Valley afficionados insist that it has the best lift-served skiing anywhere. There is almost never a wait in a lift line thanks to the 17 lifts servicing 78 runs on 2,054 skiable acres.
Because it is a tough access resort, it means uncrowded slopes, no lift lines, unstressed staff, seats in the posh on-mountain lodges, and last-minute dinner reservations. What more could you want for the ultimate ski experience?
