Distance and Difficulty: 4 to 5 miles, Moderate

Directions: 18170 Park Entrance Road Triangle, VA 22172. From the Beltway, take I-95 south approx. 20 miles to exit 150 B. Take a right onto Rt.619 North. After very short distance take right onto park entrance road. Meet at the visitor’s center.

Information:
Operated by the National Park Service, this huge wooded park is ideal for hiking. We will follow Quantico Creek to the site of the abandoned iron pyrite (fool’s gold) mine and loop back through the woods to the visitor’s center. There is a $5 entrance fee per car.
