Potomac

Starting 29 April, join fellow SWDCrs for Thursday evening kayaking tours of the Potomac River in the Belle Haven Marina area.  Rent a kayak or bring your own. 

For those new to kayaking, Mark will give some basic paddling instruction and safety tips, plus, when the air and water warms a bit more,  teach a couple of rescue techniques.

Depending on the tides, kayakers will either paddle up or down river to start.  In either direction, they’re bound to see lots of river wildlife.  If not, it’s still a great way to relax after a day at work.

Belle Haven has a variety of kayaks available: sit on, sit in and tandems.  The marina will provide the kayak, paddle and personal flotation device for the above prices. 

Those planning to attend need to let Mark know by the previous Wednesday evening.
