Date and Time: Saturday, July 10 from 10 AM – 12 PM Noon

Distance and Difficulty: 4+ miles, easy
Directions: This Park is accessible directly from the northbound lanes of the GW Parkway just north of the Roosevelt Bridge. If heading southbound, take the Theodore Roosevelt Bridge at Rosslyn to Constitution Ave., take the second right onto 23rd St. and cross the Memorial Bridge. Once on the bridge, bear right and return to the GW Parkway in a northbound direction until you see the entrance to the park. Add: Alternatively, you could take the Roosevelt Bridge to Constitution Ave., turn left onto 22nd St., turn around, turn right onto Constitution and go back across the Roosevelt Bridge. Take the right exit onto the GW parkway and the first right onto the entrance to the park. Meet in the parking lot by the footbridge.
Information: On this wooded island sanctuary located in the Potomac River, 2.5 miles of trails lead to an imposing statue of Theodore Roosevelt, the conservation-minded 26th President. His tenets on nature, manhood, youth and the state are inscribed on tablets. Come join us to explore!
