Sailing opportunities Sailing opportunities are available from May through October. Come join us while we sail across the Chesapeak Bay & Potomac River. All levels of experience are welcome, including first-timers.

Far Away Places! Sail the World's Oceans!
We also organize group sails on various warm-water seas and oceans. We've been to the Caribbean, the Mediterranean and South Pacific. Contact us if you have some far away, exicting destination you'd like to sail. Check this page for possible updates.

Chesapeake Sails: Join our weekend "salts" on the Chesapeak Bay for either full or half-day sails on 34-40 foot boats. We provide experienced skippers and a chance to pick up sailing pointers even some hands-on experience! We also offer ocassional overnight weekend sails.

Potomac Sails: Too busy on weekends or never sailed before, and not sure if you'll like it? Then our Potomac sails may be the answer. We sail 19-ft Flying Scots from the Belle Haven Marina for 2 hours on Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings. These are excellent opportunities to learn the fundamentals of sailing while having fun.

Sailing Lessons: Our talented SCWDC sailing instructors are prepared to teach you the ins and outs of sailing a boat accross the water. Take a class and attend our Chesapeake or Potomac sails to practice and fine tune your skills. Click on the sailing lessons for more information on classes.
